Strategy
Highway 11 is the coastal spine; the East Rift Valley makes a calmer inland return.
October to April usually gives cooler road-trip weather, but typhoon aftermath and local closures should still be checked.
Sleep close to Sanxiantai if the bridge sunrise is a priority.
